What Personal Data We Collect and Why We Collect It

Brighter Horizons Membership

To become a member of Brighter Horizons, we require the following personal information:

  • Name
  • Phone Number
  • Address
  • Email Address

Brighter Horizons uses external data processors that comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for the purpose of administering our membership registrations. When you sign up as a member of Brighter Horizons, you register directly through our data processor, DonorBox.

Once registered, you will receive an email from DonorBox that allows you to create an account where you can manage your payments, update your details, or unsubscribe. DonorBox complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). View DonorBox's Privacy Policy.

We use Stripe as our payment processor. Stripe also complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Your payment card information is transmitted securely through an encrypted SSL/TLS connection directly between DonorBox and Stripe. Neither Brighter Horizons, DonorBox, nor any other party has access to your full payment card details.

Whenever we collect personal information through our website, we do so with your consent. This ensures that you are informed about what information is collected and why it is needed.

We do not sell, share, or disclose your personal information to third parties except where necessary to provide the services you have requested. We retain your information until you cancel your membership through DonorBox or request deletion in writing, unless we are legally required to retain it for a longer period.

Donations

When making a donation, we collect and process the information necessary to complete the transaction and provide appropriate records of your donation. Payment information is processed securely through our payment providers and is not stored on our own servers.

Contact Forms

To use our contact form, we require the following information:

  • Email Address

We use the Contact Form 7 plugin to manage messages submitted through our contact forms. The information is sent as emails to internal Brighter Horizons email addresses, which are accessible only to authorized personnel.

Emails are stored within Google's cloud services. Google complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We do not define a fixed retention period for correspondence, as messages may be needed for future reference. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous statistics about website usage and visitor behaviour. Google Analytics uses cookies to help us understand how visitors interact with our website and how we can improve the user experience.
